Marichelle Samples was born in Montego Bay, Jamaica. She spent her early years in Canada and became a Dallas native in 1995. Samples later graduated from McKinney High School in 2003.

Samples obtained her Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Texas A&M University – Commerce and her Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law.

Samples joined the Dallas City Attorney’s Office in 2012 as a municipal prosecutor and prosecuted Class C misdemeanors for two years. In 2014, she was promoted to the Real Estate Section of the General Counsel Division and handled real estate transactions and other contracts. Shortly thereafter, the General Counsel Division was restructured, and she joined the Economic and Community Development Section.

As part of this section, among other duties and practice areas, she provided legal advice related to
economic development incentives and real estate transactions. She also drafted various types of other contracts and documents for City departments, such as service contracts, development agreements, real estate documents, consulting contracts, contracts for social services, and contracts for assistance in response to the coronavirus. After two years on this team, she was promoted to a supervising attorney. While in Dallas, Samples’ practice focused heavily on economic and housing development projects, such as the redevelopment of the iconic Statler Hotel into a multi-family/hotel/retail mixed-use development, the redevelopment of the historic Old Dallas High School into a commercial/office space, and the development of the first Alamo Drafthouse in Dallas.

In January of 2022, Samples joined the City of Lewisville as the Director of Economic Development.
Samples came to Lewisville with approximately ten years of local government experience, and in this role, she is implementing and coordinating economic development policies and related activities in the City of Lewisville.

When she’s not at work, Samples likes to spend time with her husband, Benjamin, and their two
children.

Christina Williams was born on the island of Saipan and moved to Carrollton, Texas in 2001.

Williams is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in the Recording Industry with a Concentration in Music Business and Minor in Marketing. Upon graduation she worked for a non-profit organization called Broadcast Music Incorporated that represents songwriters and ensures their royalty payments from their works.

After several years in Nashville, Williams and her husband moved back to Texas and she started her career at the City of Lewisville in 2014 as the Secretary for the Planning and Economic Development department. Today, Williams serves as the Economic Development Manager for
the City of Lewisville. Over the last several years, Williams has assisted on Economic Development Agreements, lead several events and initiatives related to business expansion and retention, and worked closely with local businesses and community partners to cultivate positive relationships.

When she’s not at work, Williams likes to spend time with her husband Tony, their two children, and dog named Rhody.

Christina was born in McAllen, TX, settling in the Dallas metroplex in 2022. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, with a minor in Business Administration. Starting as a marketing assistant at Keller Williams Realty RGV, she swiftly ascended to the role of a real estate transaction coordinator. Her passion for the field led her to acquire her Texas real estate license, immersing herself in the vibrant real estate market of Austin, TX.

Returning to her roots in McAllen, TX, Christina embraced dual roles as a Marketing Director and Real Estate agent at Coldwell Banker Real Estate. Alongside, she lent her expertise to a local publication, assisting a local magazine with sales and marketing. This experience ignited her passion for community engagement and business development. Feeling the desire to make a greater impact, Christina transitioned to the role of Membership Director for the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce.

Driven by this ambition, Christina transitioned into Economic Development, leveraging her comprehensive understanding of real estate, community development, and business relations. Presently, she serves as the Economic Development Coordinator for Lewisville, where she has already made significant strides. Her initiatives include launching social media accounts, managing the department's website, organizing workforce development events, and fostering retail development opportunities.

Outside of work, Christina enjoys quality time with her golden retriever puppy, Vinny, and indulges in hobbies such as watching movies, reading, staying active, and shopping.
